BACKGROUND: Wiki LinkPERSONALITY: Anakin Skywalker was considered to be thoughtful and intelligent. He was also friendly and easily got along with others. He was good-natured and tried his best to help those he cared about. His status as a slave did not seem to be matter. His mother held a strong place in his heart. He would constantly build things to help her out either by selling them or lightening her workload. When he met the Jedi he was very helpful to them, going out of his way to try and aide them in getting off planet. It was his own idea to risk his life in a prodrace and giving them the reward. Though he was generally friendly he also held grudges and was vengeful. He tried to keep those two traits in check, however. Another trait of his was how he did not like being treated unjustly. It would frustrate him to no end to be wrongly accused of something. He was also extremely loyal, something which would stick with him much into his adulthood.
The hardest situation he was ever put into was the separation from his mother. Even years later it still threatened to consume him. He missed her more than anything else. But someone else he also thought of constantly was Padmé -- a woman he would eventually grow to love. He mostly kept to himself over fear of losing more people he cared about. His only friends seemed to be the Temple Droids. He also grew close to Obi-Wan, whom he considered to be a father figure. However, his ego also began to grow with his status as the "Chosen One" and rising star of the Jedi. He grew prideful, eventually getting to a point where he hated being reprimanded or lectured at all.
He was generally honest and despised lying, though he did it to protect his own secrets. He would lie only when it was to protect something important to him. He generally disliked politics and politicians whom he considered to be greedy and self-conceited -- though this did not include Padmé and Palpatine.
His own relationship with Obi-Wan was rocky at times, Anakin was often left in doubt to whether he was even liked by his mentor. He craved the such attention that it drove him to another source -- Palpatine. Anakin, above all else, wanted to be loved -- to be appreciated. Which was something he felt most people did not give him. He held a strong devotion to Padmé, which almost bordered on obsession. He would not let anything happen to her even if it meant breaking his own rules.
He often felt frustrated even at the order itself. His own ego and arrogance lead him to believe that he was the most powerful Jedi ever. That he could easily beat any other Jedi out there. He was the "Chosen One" after all. Sometimes he grew mistrustful of the council itself, thinking that the Jedi merely feared him. That they didn't understand him. The one person he truly believed understood what he was going through was Palpatine, whom he considered a close friend despite his place in politics.
Anakin only confided in a few people, and some secrets he only kept to himself not wanting to let others in on what was going on. But his emotions often showed strong, often chiding Obi-Wan to tell him to be mindful of his own thoughts.
Anakin had a working (though close) relationship with the clone troopers under his command. He often fought side by side with them on the frontlines and his chain of command was lax at best. As he usually improvised and made up plans as he went alone, he expected his men to be adaptable and do them. As unorthodox as he was he needed them to do the same, and be willing to act on their own and bend the rules. He held a great deal of respect for them and would never order or risk any of their lives without his own also being on the line. He felt deeply responsible for them, and any loss hurt him deeply as he considered it one of his own failures. If possible he would try and save them all, refusing to leave any behind. This earned him a mutual respect from his troopers. He was one of them -- a fellow soldier -- who would always fight at their side and do everything in his power to save them.
When Anakin was first assigned the Padawan Ahsoka, he was not thrilled with the idea at all. He eventually came to accept the responsibility of having to train someone, though it started out slightly rocky before he really felt up to the task. As they share a lot of the same traits (brave, bold, willing to take risks, determination), they developed an understanding with each other. He did his best to guide her and is even willing to take the blame for her actions. She’s his student and his ultimate responsibility. As such he grows protective of her and does not want to lose her or even risk putting her in obvious danger. Like with Obi-Wan and Padme, Anakin was deeply attached to Ahsoka. While other Jedi could accept the loss of their Padawan, that is something Anakin could not do. Even when she decided to leave the Order, he protested against it. Her walking away left him feeling alone and greater increased his frustrations with the Jedi Council. He blamed them and felt that they betrayed her. While being her mentor helped him mature as a person, her walking away also left him emotionally shattered and added to the list of those he’s lost over the years.
Deep down, Anakin cared far too much than he should. It would be his own raw emotions, and over abundance to stop people from dying that would continually lead him to the path of the darkside.
POWERS/ABILITIES:Those who can use the force Jedi like Anakin can sense the emotions of beings around them, they cannot however read minds, just how people are
feeling. This is more of an empathetic type ability than being psychic – though with that said, some force users can bend the will of the weak-minded and guide them to do whatever they want. They can also use the force to increase their speed or agility beyond that of normal humans (they can jump higher or move faster).
They can also sense danger, though they can’t exactly tell what will happen just that something will take place. This aides in their reflexes in combat and enables them to perform rather dangerous moves.
They do have some limited telekinesis, such as the ability to lift objects or throw them with just their mind. The size and length of time they can do this all depends on the concentration of the force user. Small objects such as a rock or their lightsaber weapon doesn't take much, but anything extremely big or extremely heavy does and can greatly wear out the Jedi who attempts it for too long. It's this same ability that also allows them to push people or items, again that also depends on the size and the weight of the object.
Anakin had visions of the future through the force, but they came in the form of dreams or nightmares and he couldn't always tell the difference.
Even with all these abilities, Jedi were still normal in the sense that they could be harmed and killed. It might be slightly harder, but most were not invulnerable and still made mistakes. Their morals, voice of reason, falling to their emotions, and ultimate choices were still up to them, so regular human error was their biggest weakness.
Due to the nature of Chroma Anakin’s general Jedi abilities are limited to how much he has at any given time.
INVENTORY: The Jedi robes on his back and his lightsaber.
MOONBLESSING: Cordis
